Travel to Romania with the 2026–2027 Passport to OVB at Ocean View Brewing Company. This month’s stop explores the rich, comforting flavors of Romanian cuisine with a special menu inspired by traditional dishes from the Carpathian Mountains and beyond.
From wild mushroom soup and roasted beet salad to mititei, tochitură, sarmale, and papanași, Chef Maggie’s menu brings a taste of Romania to Ocean View for one weekend only.

Carpathian Wild Mushroom Soup
Wild mushrooms, caramelized onion, garlic, smoked paprika, vegetable broth, smântână, fresh dill
The Red Forest Salad
Roasted beets, shaved cabbage, blackberries, whipped sheep’s cheese, candied walnuts, pickled red onion, horseradish vinaigrette, fresh dill
Witch’s Zacuscă
Fire-roasted eggplant and red pepper spread, garlicky pickled vegetables, farmer’s cheese, rustic bread
Devil’s Mititei
Charcoal-grilled Romanian beef and pork sausages, hot mustard, pickled cabbage, hand-cut fries

Passport to OVB is our season-long culinary trip around the world. Each month, we visit a new country with a special food and drink menu inspired by that destination. Pick up your Passport during a themed weekend at Ocean View Brewing and collect a stamp each time you visit a featured destination.
Collect four Passport stamps and you’ll earn a commemorative Passport to OVB glass at our World Travelers Celebration in June. No purchase is required to receive a stamp — just ask your server or stop by the host stand during a Passport weekend.
